I'm Dawn Sheldon MSN, RN freelance health writer. Being a nurse for 15 years in dialysis and home health, I strive to impact the health experiences of those I care for positively. Founder and CEO of Sheldon Health Writing, LLC, I have 15 years of nursing experience, including staff nursing and clinical management in dialysis and home health. 

Before my nursing career, I acquired a BA in Biology and BS in Computer Science.  I have been a research scientist working in automated DNA sequencing, immunology and virology. 

I started my nursing career knowing that I  wanted to write as a nurse. Scientific and creative writing have always come easy to me. Writing as a nurse has allowed me to continue being an impactful nurse and still have valuable time with my family.

I currently live in Minnesota. You will often hear me saying there is joy in every moment while eating pizza on the patio.
